Why Aotearoa Labs

Personal problems.
Practical software.

Aotearoa Labs is an independent New Zealand software and technology studio. Our work spans children's learning, gaming utilities, industrial tools, AI-assisted CAD, and hands-on prototyping, but every project follows the same idea: make something genuinely useful. Based in New Plymouth, Taranaki, we also take on client work, from custom software development and Android, iOS and Microsoft Store apps to small-business websites and AI-assisted CAD.

We also designed and built AOTEAURORA for AOTEAURORA Limited, turning complex space weather and local viewing conditions into a clear forecast for New Zealand. The AddVenture maths series now covers Years 4–13 across four apps on the Microsoft Store, and the first is also on Google Play.
